FULL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM

/  ACADEMICS

01

Primary education at AFSB focuses on basic academic learning and socialization skills, introducing children to the broad range of knowledge, skill, and behavioral adjustments they need to succeed in life, particularly, in secondary (High) school. Students learn basic arithmetic, English proficiency (such as basic grammarspelling, and vocabulary), and fundamentals of other subjects such as Science, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Students will also learn about social issues through the subjects of Science and English. Bulgarian will be taught based on demand as an extra-curricular subject outside of school hours.

We accept students in 1st grade as early as 5 years of age, but ONLY if after assessing them, we deem them ready academically and emotionally.

School days are Monday through Friday, starting at 9:00. No lunch or transportation is included in the tuition, but we offer catering and transportation plans at an additional cost. Primary school academic hours are 40 minutes long, and from 5th grade onwards, the academic hour becomes 50 minutes.

Whenever possible, we strive to keep group sizes to a small number in order to provide the best student-teacher experience.
